The Don’t Be Tardy alum has been on quite the rollercoaster in the last year. Kim Zolciak announced she would be separating from her former NFL husband, Kroy Biermann, after 12 years of marriage. The two seemed to live in their own fairytale. But the separation has taken a nasty turn, with Kim asking for primary physical custody of their children and joint legal custody. The fighting has been ongoing but finally, Kroy has something to celebrate as their Georgia mansion is now officially off the market.
Kim Zolciak’s expensive home is no longer her problem
The former Bravo couple finally found a buyer for their beloved family home which was featured on Don’t Be Tardy. According to TMZ, the house has been up for sale for over a year and a half. The outlet reported that the house sold last month for $2.75 million. This is over $3 million less than their original asking price. The couple bought the home back in 2012 for just under $900,00. The home was large, with 15,000 square feet, and was built from the ground up in 2008. The mansion was even used as the backdrop for Kroy and Kim’s 2011 wedding, where she famously kicked her mother out of the reception.
The home was the height of luxury with amenities like a heated pool, five fireplaces, an elevator, an arcade room, a six-car garage, a gym, and a private movie theatre. Over the last two years, Kim and Kroy slashed the price multiple times in an attempt to unload the house. Both were trying to avoid having to send the house to auction as they struggled with their mounting debt.
The mansion was Kim Zolciak’s dream home
When Kim and Kroy first put the family home on the market, they asked for $6 million but quickly reduced the price by $1 million in January 2024. With the house taking so long to sell, it was scheduled to go into foreclosure on December 3, but the Bravo stars were able to hold off the debt collectors and achieve the final sale. In November 2024, Page Six confirmed that Kim had moved out of the mansion. The outlet shared that Kim had taken her four minor children and relocated to a rental nearby. Kroy also found himself in a separate home in the same neighborhood.
The last time the entire family spent time at their Georgia mansion was this past Christmas. Ariana Biermann posted an emotional TikTok, giving one last tour of the empty home. She showed off her famed bedroom, which her mother had done in a princess theme for when they first moved in. The influencer wrote, “last christmas in my childhood home thank you god for the amazing memories w my family- goodbye <3.” Ariana’s video was set to How Do I Say Goodbye by Dean Lewish.
It’s the end of an era for Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann
The couple’s divorce has been extremely turbulent. Shortly before the mansion sold, Ariana once again took to her TikTok to share that “divorce sucks.” She told followers, “You know when you’re younger, like 10, and you think about divorce … You’re like, ‘Oh my God, two Christmases, two vacations, two birthday gifts, fun time, extra food on Thanksgiving… What a fun time.” She added, “And then you grow up, and then you’re an adult, and then it actually happens. And then you’re like, oh sh*t. Divorce f*cking sucks. Oh my God. This is actually the worst thing that’s ever happened for everyone involved.”
In October, Kim accused Kroy of spying on her in court documents. The duo have been going back and forth with one another for months, tossing insults and accusations. At least now, with the house sold, that is one less thing for the former couple to worry about. The money can now go to paying their large amount of debt down and, hopefully, a fresh start for both. Currently, the duo are still in the process of finalizing their divorce.
Don’t Be Tardy is available to stream on Peacock.
