Brand New Day’ Trailer Gets Record 719 Million Views

Brand New Day’ Trailer Gets Record 719 Million Views

Sony and Marvel Studios’ trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day closed 718.6 million views in its first 24 hours, making it hands down the most viewed trailer in movie history. This is all before the pic’s release date July 31.

The Brand New Day trailer surpassed Deadpool & Wolverine’s 24-hour benchmark in just eight hours with a remarkable 373 million views. Deadpool & Wolverine had 373M worldwide views.

The Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer also surpassed the 24-hour record set by Grand Theft Auto VI (475 million views), which was previously billed as the biggest video launch of all time upon its 2025 release. The trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home — which went on to earn $1.9 billion at the global box office in 2021 — generated 355.5 million views in its first 24 hours.

After the record-breaking $1.9 billion global success of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Spider-Man: Brand New Day marks a new chapter for Peter Parker and Spider-Man. Four years have passed since the events of No Way Home, and Peter is now an adult living alone, having voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of those he loves. Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he’s devoted himself entirely to protecting his city — a full-time Spider-Man — but as the demands intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced.

Brand New Day, based on the Marvel comics by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando and Mark Ruffalo. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film is written by Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers. Kevin Feige, Amy Pascal, Avi Arad and Rachel O’Connor produced the film. Louis D’Esposito and David Cain are executive producers.
