Fans Of The #1 Horror Movie On Netflix Demand Sequel

We love vampires, international films, and horror comic book series. So, of course, the #1 horror movie on Netflix has our undivided attention at the moment. This Italian horror-fantasy project also seems to have a very vocal internet fanbase built in. This is a huge part of why 2022’s Dampyr #1 has scaled to the top of the charts so quickly. If you’re also just now discovering this title, then have no fear. We’ve got the lowdown on what looks like a bloody good time.

In the film,

Con artist Harlan and his manager pretend to rid small villages of vampires haunting the town, accepting money for their fake services. When faced with defeating actual vampires, Harlan learns he is more than human and must use his newfound powers to destroy an evil master of the night.

Dampyr was directed by Riccardo Chemello. The screenplay was written by Mauro Boselli, Giovanni Masi, Alberto Ostini, and Mauro Uzzeo. It’s based on the comic series of the same name by Mauro Boselli. The movie stars Wade Briggs, Stuart Martin, Frida Gustavsson, Sebastian Croft, Luke Roberts, David Morrissey, and Radu Andrei Micu.

Many fans think this is a very unique take on vampire films. Most are also begging Netflix for a sequel further exploring the world of the comics.

See what Twitter is saying

I watched every second of Dampyr and as I’m wrapping up to what I think is the end, it hit me that I have no fucking clue what’s going on. #dampyr

Other countries can manage to create better movies than American studios. For example Dampyr was made with a $15 million budget and it’s based off an Italian comic book. The movie has more imagination than marvel movies from the last few years.

I’m 26 min into Dampyr and it’s giving big Winchester brothers energy.

So Dampyr is a very unique vampire film…eastern European…English speakers no need for translation. I like it so far…it’s different on Netflix

@netflix Just saw Dampyr and it was good. Please do a sequel. The story has potential

I was today years old when I discovered this series and this movie. So, I’ve got some catching up to do. Are you familiar with Dampyr? Do you think I’m good to just wade in with this film while it’s on Netflix? Or should I try to catch up on some of the comics first? Let me know either way at @misssharai.
