Tubi is quickly becoming one of my favorite streaming services. I hate advertisements, yet even I can tolerate their limited ad breaks. Not to mention, they have a wide variety of genre programming, including everything from the cult classics of years past to celebrated contemporary efforts.
Speaking of critically lauded fare released recently, the streamer’s impressive lineup presently features a contemporary feature that won over the majority of fans and critics. If you have seen The Menu, it’s worth paying a repeat visit. The flick is plenty clever and there’s likely a lot that you missed the first time around.

Mark Mylod directs this darkly comedic horror film from a screenplay by Seth Reiss and Will Tracy. Outside of helming The Menu, Mylod is best known for his television work. He has directed episodes of hit series like Succession and Shameless. After taking in The Menu, I’m left hoping that he has more feature films planned, particularly in the genre space.
Mylod works with a top-notch cast on this celebrated outing. Ralph Fiennes, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Nicholas Hoult round out the core cast. Hong Chau, Janet McTeer, Paul Adelstein, and John Leguizamo all appear in supporting roles.
The film pulled in nearly $80 million at the global box office on an estimated budget of $30 million. The Menu played in over 3,000 theaters, making it the widest release for distributor Searchlight Pictures thus far.
