Everyone loves a good conspiracy theory every so often. Personally, I am a sucker for Unsolved Mysteries. The comforting lull of Robert Stack’s voice always lured me in for the hour as he weaved terrifying stories about possible aliens and government coverups. But no one loves a good conspiracy theory more than our Southern Charm guy, Craig Conver. I thought he was nuts when he had everyone wear the tin foil hats last season, but it turns out JT Thomas might be just as bad when it comes to overthinking.
JT Thomas thinks Madison LeCroy is in love with him
In the most recent episode of Southern Charm, JT revealed two absolutely cockamamie theories involving Madison LeCroy and Austen Kroll. While golfing with Shep Rose and Craig, the self-proclaimed gentleman revealed his hypothesis that frankly left most fans scratching their heads. During Season 9 the gang all traveled to Jamaica, where some fun in the sun was had. However, JT noted that after they returned to Charleston, the hairstylist called him randomly out of the blue. JT is supposed to be mending bridges with Austen, but that has taken a serious turn, thanks to JT’s allegations.
JT noted that he thinks Madison’s husband, Brett Randal, is concerned that she hooked up with him following their trip. The Napoleon of Charleston went a step further, revealing that Madison and Brett Randle had FaceTimed him to ask if he had hooked up with the blonde. In his best Southern belle accent, he reenacted the uncomfortable chat,“‘Hey JT. I’m here with Brett. He wants to know what happened in Jamaica.” The only evidence to back up the theory was the fact that while on the Sprinter van, Madison had come out wearing JT’s striped shirt. But neither Shep nor Craig were convinced.
According to JT Thomas, the proof is in the polka dots
Even after Shep and Craig basically laugh JT into a birdie shot, he continues with his conspiracy agenda. The Airbnb owner jumped back to the Episode 1 gathering at the Carolina Cup. At the time Leva Bonaparte had commented on Austen not exactly being truthful to his new girlfriend. The restauranter implied that Austen was still very much playing the field while claiming to be monogamous. Craig, in particular, was not thrilled that JT had started to question his friend’s dating timeline. As we all know, you NEVER question the timeline. Personally, I love that JT is diving head first into the gossip, but his bros are not standing for it.
JT quickly circles back to Madison’s event, where Austen and his ex both showed up wearing matching polka dots. The dress code was on the invite, so I am not exactly sure what he is getting here. JT then notes “The other strange thing is why is she matching polka dots with Austen?” Craig chimes in, “You sound absolutely nuts right now.” But JT couldn’t help himself as he added, “At the Carolina Cup I’m looking at Austen. I’m looking at Madison. I see matching polka dots. My mind is going. I don’t know what’s going on. Madison, who never misses a beat, matches her ex-boyfriend to the color and polka dot.”
Craig Conover has his own ideas
Shep was clearly at his wit’s end, noting, “The way that the gears turn in JT’s head I’m not sure I want to know about.” But Craig, who loves a good conspiracy theory, wasn’t buying what JT was selling. The Sewing Down South owner noted, “I don’t even like to use the word conspiracy theory. I think it’s derogatory to all of those who know the truth out there. But man, JT is. He tops me.” In the past, Craig has connected the pyramid to aliens to panda bears. Last year, Craig revealed that he doesn’t believe Panda Bears are real.
The Southern Charm star just believes that the beloved bears are humans in costume. Craig also once wondered during Season 6, “What if I have to walk backward the rest of my because of a crazy government shot?” The passionate sewer is also not above stirring the pot when it comes to JT. While at an Easter brunch hosted by Patricia Altschul, he told the 83-year-old that JT had called her a “b*tch.” This, however, was an exaggeration of the truth. But it is clear both JT and Craig enjoy thinking outside the box and bending the facts.
