Karol G made her MTV VMAs debut with a performance of “OKI DOKI” and “Tá OK” on Tuesday night. Check out her appearance on the show below.
Flooding the stage with backup dancers dressed in bubblegum pink, Karol G showcased her latest album, Mañana Será Bonito (Bichota Season). Singing entirely in Spanish, the set highlighted the popularity of Latin music; as presenter Emily Ratajkowski pointed out, the artist is currently playing the same stadiums that Taylor Swift filled on “The Eras Tour.”
Karol G was up for Artist of the Year, Best Collaboration, and Best Latin at this year’s VMAs. The latter two nominations were for “TQG,” her collaboration with Shakira. The Colombian singer’s had a big summer: In addition to Mañana Será Bonito (Bichota Season), she contributed “WATATI” to the Barbie soundtrack. Her “MAÑANA SERÁ BONITO” tour continues through September, and tickets are on sale here.
