There’s a certain kind of woman who walks into a room and makes everyone else suddenly want to stand up straighter. Nicole de Moulpied is that woman — and with her debut book Still a Snack: Your Mid Life Glow Up Guide, she’s making sure you can be her, too.
The book arrives as a three-pronged declaration: part mindset reset, part fitness plan, part skincare strategy — and all attitude. De Moulpied’s premise is deceptively simple and quietly radical: confidence, attractiveness, and personal power don’t have an expiration date. If anything, you double down.
What sets Still a Snack apart from the crowded wellness shelf is its tone — honest, a little irreverent, and completely unfiltered. De Moulpied doesn’t traffic in perfection. She confronts the overwhelm, the conflicting messages women receive about aging, and the impossible standard of having to either try too hard or not try at all. Then she dismantles all of it. The result reads less like a self-help book and more like a frank conversation with a friend who happens to have done the work.
The practical framework is refreshingly un-bloated: daily walks, five-minute abs, simple food swaps, and a streamlined skincare routine built on proven results rather than influencer hype. De Moulpied designed a system that fits real life — not the aspirational version of it.
There’s also a longer game being played beneath the surface. While the book is packaged as a glow-up, it’s quietly constructing a foundation of lasting health habits. Look better, feel better — but also live better. That’s not a small distinction.
