Louisiana 10-Year-Old Kidnapped, Told To Strip, Busts Down Door

It’s a scary time to be a child. Danger lurks everywhere, even close to home. A 10-year-old boy is home safe and sound after a harrowing kidnapping. The heroic young child busted a door down so he and another victim could escape the house of horrors. The young boy fled the kidnappers in only his underwear. Keep reading for more on this shocking story from Louisiana.

Louisiana 10-Year-Old Boy Kidnapped

Not even walking in your own neighborhood is safe these days. A 10-year-old boy was waiting at a local bus stop when two strangers in masks made their approach. The men kidnapped him at gunpoint. The incident happened in Algiers, Louisiana, a neighborhood in the state’s iconic New Orleans hot spot.

The young boy told the authorities that he was thrown in a van by his kidnappers and transported to an abandoned house in the neighborhood. The quick-thinking 10-year-old was able to rescue himself and another victim from whatever horrors the kidnappers intended.

Heroic Child Kicks Down Door, Flees With Another Victim

Once at the vacant home, the kidnappers demanded the young boy strip down to his underwear. Another kidnapped boy around the same age was also in the house. They told the young boy they wanted to take photos of the young boy naked. What exactly the kidnappers had planned isn’t clear. They could have planned to traffic the children. Luckily for the boys, the kidnappers didn’t have a camera with them.

“They were going to try to take a photo of me, like I don’t know, but when they tried to do that, that was when one of them left,” the 10-year-old boy told the local media. Then the other one left, saying he would be back soon. The young boys used that opportunity to make their escape.

“They [the men] locked the door, so they made sure the door was locked, and that was when we tried to kick the door, and I kicked the door, and that’s when I had kicked the door down, and I had ran,” the brave boy shared.

One of the boys’ fathers had been searching the neighborhood for him and saw the boys flee the house in only their underwear. The escape was caught on video from a nearby security camera.

In a strange twist, one of the boy’s underwear and backpack was placed on the lawn across from his house after he escaped the kidnappers.

The police don’t have any suspects in the strange kidnapping. They are asking the public for help. Anyone with any information can contact NOPD Fourth District detectives at 504-658-6040.

People can also report information anonymously to Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans by calling 504-822-1111 or by submitting tips online at www.crimestoppersgno.org.
