Kelley Wolf opened up about a devastating period in her life, revealing that she once believed she was “in the CIA.” The former reality star also apologized to Scott Wolf and their three children for the pain her behavior caused.
Kelley, 49, reflected on the mental health crisis that unfolded last year. She said she was diagnosed with “breakthrough drug-induced mania with psychosis” after spending the past year working with doctors, therapists, psychologists and other professionals.

In an emotional 11-part Instagram post, Kelley said she had spent the past year working with doctors, therapists and psychologists. She said her brain felt “hijacked” before she realized she needed help.
“I was completely delusional,” Kelley wrote. She said a “perfect storm” of stress, past trauma, hormonal shifts, hallucinogens and prescribed medications triggered the episode. Kelley said the crisis also led to “grand and delusional ideas,” including beliefs that she was “in the CIA” and “running for President.”
Kelley admitted that she became “cruel” and “vicious” toward the people closest to her. She then apologized to Scott, 58, and their children, Jackson, 17, Miller, 13, and Lucy Marie, 12.
“My husband of twenty years was taken through a nightmare that wouldn’t even fly in a movie script; it was so brutal,” Kelley wrote. She said her actions “caused profound harm” and did not reflect reality. The couple separated in June 2025 after 21 years together. Scott filed for divorce that month, while Kelley entered an involuntary psychiatric hold in Utah.
Later that summer, police arrested Kelley over allegations involving electronic harassment and disclosure of Scott’s personal information. A temporary protective order followed and restricted her contact with Scott and their children.
Despite everything, the former couple reunited with their children at Universal Studios in February. Scott told PEOPLE, “We are healing,” and said they remained committed to honesty and love for their children.
Scott responded to Kelley’s message with four heart emojis. Trista Sutter and Billy Bush shared supportive comments. Kelley ended the post by thanking her family for helping her reach “safe harbor.” She said causing them pain would haunt her and promised to use her life differently.
