Sugar Bear has reportedly reappeared with a woman named Taylor Star, who recently sparked engagement speculation after showing off a diamond ring on TikTok. Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson’s relationship history includes a long-term relationship with June “Mama June” Shannon, with whom he shares daughter Alana “Honey Boo Boo”. They split in 2014 after about a decade together.
He later married Jennifer Lamb in 2017, but they separated in 2021. Thompson subsequently began dating Heather Rood in 2022, and the couple went public with their relationship that year before apparently splitting later in 2022. By September 2026, Thompson had been linked to Taylor Star.
According to Us, Star’s post wearing an engagement ring made no declarations. However, she liked many fans’ comments that offered her congratulations. “I did a double take and said, ‘Damn, is that Sugar Bear?’ I haven’t seen him in forever,” one comment read. “Congratulations to you both,” another quipped.
Lamb previously announced her separation from Thompson in December 2021. “Me and Mike have went our separate ways,” she wrote via Facebook at the time. “Yes, it’s hard but we will work through it and we will still remain friends. So now when everyone sees us and we are not together everyone will know what’s going on.”
After splitting from Lamb, Thompson moved to another woman called Heather Rood. Rood made a romantic Instagram post in 2002, praising Thompson. “He makes me laugh!” ahe wrote. She continued, “He makes me smile! He makes me feel beautiful every single day! When he is around I feel so relaxed. Thank you for coming into my life at a point where I felt hopeless! Thompson rose to reality TV fame during his relationship with Shannon, which began in 2004. They welcomed their daughter, “Honey Boo Boo,” in 2005.
