Real Housewives of Potomac (RHOP) Season 9, Episode 3 Recap

Welcome to the recap for Real Housewives of Potomac Season 9, Episode 3. Last week, Karen and Gizelle’s frenemy relationship went into enemy territory when Karen held an event the same time as Gizelle and Ashley’s. The cast had already RSVP’d to the GnA party but ended up going to see Karen first. This set Gizelle off, and she kicked out the ladies once they showed up. Will the group be able to move forward? Here’s exactly what went down in RHOP Season 9, Episode 3: “Momma Knows Best.”

It was like Christmas morning as the taglines were finally revealed! After that pleasant surprise, we hit the ground running with Gizelle kicking the group out from her event. Ashley also tried to solicit donations afterwards, which backfired when Jassi slammed the Sprinter van door in her face. We also got a mom montage, with Wendy and Keiarna’s mothers each stopping by to do what mom’s do best, criticize. After Gizelle watched her babies go off to prom, she decided to apologize to Jassi, Mia, and Stacey. Then the group was off to The Queen City for their first cast trip of the season. All was well for now, but next week looks to be a doozy.

Karen came for Ashley’s bunions

Gizelle was not sorry for kicking Jassi, Stacey, and Mia out for being four minutes late. She said, “My father passed away months ago. Karen getting an award; who gives a sh*t? This is the same woman who just hit a tree! … Don’t play with me. Not tonight.” Jassi didn’t play either. After the dumbfounded trio took their seats in the Sprinter van, Ashley showed up asking for donations. Jassi said not today and closed the door on her. Maybe wait to kick them out until after they donate next time.

The next day, Stacey had Jassi, Ashley, and Karen over to get to the bottom of what happened. Jassi and Ashley got heated over the door debacle but sort of made up. Ashley then confronted Karen about inviting the group to her event when she said she wasn’t going to. Karen then deflected and brought up her “inquisition” birthday party. She didn’t appreciate Ashley’s shady Uber vouchers. Karen said she should have given them back so Ashley could use them to go get the “acorn off her foot.” Ashley shouted, “You coming for my bunions?” I love this show. Afterwards, everyone decided they could move on if Gizelle apologized. Good luck with that.

Gizelle is preparing to be an empty nester

Wendy’s mom, Susan, stopped by to make some porridge. Wendy noted that her mom thought if she didn’t cook for them, no one ate. As all moms do. Wendy then took a deep breath and announced … she was going on a cast trip to North Carolina. Who else thought she was going to say she resigned from her position as a professor? She was also happy it coincided with her 40th birthday. And to keep with her theme of “peace,” she wanted to invite Eddie’s parents to her party. She was surprised her mom agreed since they had a falling out. However, could Wendy keep the peace between them?

Keiarna whipped up some breakfast for her boyfriend Greg, who just had a root canal. Some mini pancakes, scrambled eggs, and bacon would cheer anyone up after that. But Keiarna’s mom Michelle still had to double check that the eggs were cooked just right. After Greg scooted off with his food, Michelle got down to business and asked where the ring was at. Keiarna reminded her mom she was not a “thirsty ring girl.” When the time was right, it would happen.

Gizelle’s twins were getting glam done for prom. They both looked stunning in their gowns. It really hit home to Gizelle that she would soon be an empty nester. Her ex Jamal showed up for this momentous occasion as well. The producer asked Gizelle if the rumors were true Jamal had a girlfriend. Gizelle didn’t care how many girlfriends he had. He was the father to her children, and “that will remain the same.” This misty moment softened her. She decided to apologize to the group for kicking them out. Her beef was with The Grand Dame.

Jacqueline spills some tea about Mia’s boyfriend Inc

Mia and Inc hosted a birthday party for Jacqueline’s ex-boyfriend, Patrick. Or as Jacqueline called him, “P.P.” She said this stood for “parental partner,” and because he has a big you know what. Inc told Patrick his daughter’s looked just like him. Patrick had a super dry sense of humor and joked, “I tried denying them,” as he shook his head. Then we got a quick confessional of Jacqueline spilling some tea. She shared that after Mia and Inc broke up, Inc had hit her up to go out to dinner. Perhaps Mia and Inc weren’t so solid after all?

Now onto the awkward scene that was Stacey and her “friend” TJ at the gym. Stacey shared last week with Ashley that TJ did not want to be intimate until marriage. However, who knew that also included hugs? TJ skipped right over Stacey when she greeted him and hugged their fitness instructor instead. Later, Stacey made a joke about the “big balls” they had to use while training. TJ said, “Listen, I’m not sleeping with you, man. I’m just not gonna do it.” She then tried to make light of it and asked him on a scale of one to ten how bad he wanted to sleep with her. He answered, “The letter K.” When she asked him to clarify, he said “Zero.” Things are not looking good for these two.

The cast was off to The Queen City

It was girls’ trip time! But first Gizelle needed to apologize. She met up with Ashley, Jassi, Stacey, and Wendy. Specifically, Gizelle wanted to pull Jassi and Stacey out from “Karen’s spell.” She got down to business and immediately apologized. Wendy felt like she was in the upside down and quipped, “This is new.” Now the group could move on to more important things. Such as Stacey being mad at Ashley for being messy and dishing about her relationship with TJ to the group. Oop.

The ladies all arrived in The Queen City and split up into different vehicles. Wendy and Gizelle continued to bond over Wendy’s birthday and going to church. A surprised Gizelle said she was “actually enjoying Wendy.” Wendy liked her too, but admitted they needed to take their time. Mia checked in on Karen because the internet had all the info about Karen’s court date. Karen gave Mia the same spiel she did to Gizelle and told her to read about it online then. Mia warned, “There’s gonna come a time where you’re going to break.” Cut to, “Hour’s later …” The cast is screaming and crying while Karen shouted, “I don’t have two DUI’s, dingbat!” To be continued…

Real Housewives of Potomac continues Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
