Can you hear it?
That’s the trailer for British Horror Studio and The B-Team’s lo-fi found footage nightmare, Mr. Whispers, creeping into your news feed this morning.
Set around an abandoned cinema and the unsettling legend attached to it, Mr Whispers follows a group of young filmmakers whose attempt to investigate the building begins to draw them into something far stranger than the story they expected to document.
What begins as a simple investigation becomes increasingly unsettling as the porcelain-faced Mr. Whispers begins to make his presence known.

Though we don’t get much from the trailer, I’m loving the creepy, lo-fi vibe. Consider me curious.
Megan Tremethick, Dorian Todd, Novarro Ramon, Sam McMillan and Stephen Corrall star.
The film is directed by Todd, Oliver Revie and Seumas MacNeil, from a screenplay by Todd and MacNeil.
Mr Whispers was produced by The B-Team in collaboration with British Horror Studio and marks The B-Team’s first feature-length production.
Said Tremethick, “The B-Team was created to champion bold, experimental filmmaking and to give emerging filmmakers the freedom to make ambitious work without losing the personality that comes with working on a smaller scale. Mr Whispers is our first feature, so seeing it move from that kind of grassroots production into cinemas feels incredibly significant to us. It’s a wonderful opportunity to show that low-budget filmmaking can still be adventurous, distinctive and worthy of the big-screen experience.”

The film begins its UK theatrical run at Lumière Cinema Romford, where it will screen from October 23rd to October 29th, before reaching London with a screening at Peckhamplex on Tuesday, November 24th at 8:30pm.
Further engagements are also planned at Southport Bijou Cinema in North West England and the Adam Smith Theatre in Fife, Scotland, with individual screening dates to be announced shortly. Additional cinema venues and dates across the UK will follow as the theatrical programme expands.
The release forms part of the growing British Horror Studio Picture House programme. The wider slate includes Amicus Productions’ In the Grip of Terror, alongside British Horror Studio titles Black Chariot and Spoiling You, with Mr Whispers representing The B-Team’s contribution to the first wave of releases.
The Picture House programme is continuing to add independent cinema partners around the UK, with further venues and screening dates set to be announced.
