Real Housewives of Orange County Season 20 Episode 14 Recap

Welcome back to the latest recap of The Real Housewives of Orange County. Last time, Tamra spilled details about Vicki’s medical condition. And Heather and Alexis Bellino argued at Tamra’s launch party. Here’s what happened in RHOC Season 20 Episode 14: “Friends and Fortunes.”

Alexis caused a scene at Tamra’s party. Right before the Tokyo cast trip, Carmella bailed. And Emily voiced doubts about her marriage to Shane.

We pick up the shenanigans during Tamra’s party. “Alexis, you’re just trying to create something here that’s not there,” Heather said. “Don’t come attack me,” Alexis fired back. “Are you that insecure, that you think … me? My little peon me, would give you a look?”

In her confessional, Heather explained, “Instead of talking to me, she went on Tamra’s podcast, pieces got picked up by PEOPLE magazine, and I didn’t like that.” She added, “Do I look insecure? I am so done listening to Alexis.”

Heather said, “Bye, b*tch,” and went back to the party. Meanwhile, outside, Alexis was still with Tamra, Jo De La Rosa, and Alexis’ hubby, John Janssen. “I just took her to task,” Alexis announced.

Finally, the group returned to Tamra’s party. For some reason, Jo convinced Alexis to speak with Heather. As Emily, Tamra, and Shannon were eating from a bowl of Cheetos, John walked by.

“Gross,” he remarked. When Tamra asked what he said, he responded, “The Cheetos are gross.”

Tamra replied, “Oh, thank you. I thought you meant Shannon was gross.” Then Shannon calmly remarked, “Oh, no. He probably did.”

However, Alexis and Heather’s conversation wasn’t going as smoothly. “I think it’s a thing because … you and I have some other beef,” Alexis stated.

“You’re annoyed because I told Shannon that John heard the crash,” Heather replied. She was, of course, referring to Shannon’s 2023 DUI crash. Alexis raised her arm and theatrically exclaimed, “You disclosed information that is not for Heather Dubrow to disclose!”

Heather admitted telling Shannon, and Alexis looked at the cameras, pointed at Heather, and said, “Thank you for getting that.”

In her talking head, Heather said, “Honestly, even if John and Alexis had said not to say anything, which they didn’t, I would have told Shannon. If you can tell PEOPLE magazine, I think that Shannon should know.”

Heather repeatedly tried to quiet Alexis, who was shouting. Then, Alexis headed over to the group of ladies and called Heather “delusional.”

Finally, Alexis hugged Teddi Mellencamp, who said, “I don’t think you should leave and come back again.” Shannon chimed in, “Well, she wants a storyline, maybe.” Yikes!

“If I wanted a storyline … then … I would have said yes,” Alexis told Teddi. Interesting.

“Maybe you should keep my name out of your mouth, Alexis,” Shannon stated. On her way out, Alexis hugged Jenn and said, “I’m so happy to see you, and I’m so happy that you and Tamra are finally friends.”

In addition, Heather was elated to learn that Emily defended her when Alexis called her “delusional.” When the ladies discussed their Tokyo trip, Carmella was almost on board with attending.

“All the things are tripping me up, Like, traveling with the diabetes, the 16-hour time change, being so far away from my kids,” Carmella admitted in her confessional. “But I do want to push myself to go.”

Shannon’s beloved pup Archie is ill

Shannon was sitting on the floor with her dog, and fan favorite, Archie Beador. “One night, I thought that he was having a bad dream. And I walked into the bathroom, and he was convulsing, and his eyes were rolled back in his head,” she said in her confessional. “I cleaned him up. I lay on the bathroom floor with him for the rest of the night.”

Shannon called her daughter, Stella, to give an update. The vet was giving Archie an anti-seizure medication, and he needs an MRI. “I’m supposed to go to Tokyo next week. What if something happened to him when I’m gone?” Shannon asked.

“He’s been by my side through it all,” a teary Shannon added in her confessional.

Later, while the ladies relaxed in style and waited to board the plane, Jenn received a text from Carmella. “Carmella’s not coming,” Jenn said. So, Jenn FaceTimed her.

“I’m so sorry. I’m just not in a place to travel. For the last week, I’ve been so stressed, and my sugar [is], like, 400,” Carmella said. Plus, her ADHD medication couldn’t get approved.

“Things kept piling up, and like, I knew, if I were to get on the plane, that I was going to end up in a hospital in Tokyo,” Carmella said in her talking head.

Everyone was sad that Carmella wasn’t going, except for Vicki. “I think Carmella made a great decision by not going to Tokyo. I think she’s a Debbie Downer,” Vicki stated in her confessional.

Then, Shannon shared heartbreaking news. “Archie was diagnosed with brain cancer on Friday. So, we’re going to see an oncologist when we get back,” Shannon said.

In her confessional, Shannon shared, “I’m hopeful we can come up with a treatment plan and get him better.” However, if Archie’s condition worsens, she is heading home.

The ladies arrived at the hotel. Gina and Emily shared a room, and Tamra announced that she and Jenn were roomies. As they unpacked, Tamra told Jenn that Emily was discussing her marital problems with Shane.

“She was like, ‘He just makes me feel like a bad mom. He says I don’t spend time with kids,’” Tamra said.

Jenn replied, “You have to be so careful asking this. Is she doing enough, like, when she has time?” Oof.

At dinner, the topic of Alexis came up. Heather mentioned that Alexis said they had “beef.”

“She called you ‘fleckless,’” Tamra stated. Actually, Alexis called Fancy Pants “feckless,” and it took the jet-lagged RHOC cast a beat to figure it out.

In her confessional, Emily read the definition of “feckless.” It meant “incompetent, irresponsible, or lacking any real purpose or strength of character.” Well, that’s quite a statement!

Then, Jenn asked Emily about her marriage to Shane. “No, we’re not great right now,” Emily admitted. Emily shared that they are not sleeping in the same room. “I don’t feel any closeness to him or any desire, because every time we have a conversation, he’s so snarky towards me and takes shots at me.”

When Tamra asked if Emily and Shane had mentioned divorce, she responded, “I have before. He never has.”

“You seem like you’re at your end,” Tamra said. “I don’t know. Maybe,” Emily said. “That’s not what I would want.”

Gina suggested getting Shane help. “I have somebody coming over once a week just to do my laundry. I don’t cook. If I could pay for it to be done, I’m doing that because I need help,” Gina explained.

“Well, Gina’s bougie now,” Tamra quipped in her confessional. Meanwhile, all Emily wanted was validation that she is “a good mom,” but Shane doesn’t say that.

Fortunes and misfortune

After dinner, the ladies hit the bars, except for Vicki, who headed to bed. At one tiny bar, there was a snake in a bottle. Heather, Gina, and Tamra all took a snake shot. Eww!

The next morning, the group headed to a temple, and after an incense cleansing, the ladies asked for a fortune. The fortunes were either good or bad. If you received a bad fortune, you could burn it.

Gina’s fortune was positive, promising wealth, marriage, and a trip in the future. When it was Vicki’s turn, Gina read, “Your mind doesn’t stay still and will lose right away.” She added, “That means you’re going senile.”

Then the fortune stated, “Stop marriage of any kind.” Of course, Vicki was acting like a “Debbie Downer” and couldn’t wait to burn her fortune. Thankfully, Emily had a good fortune, which gave her hope for the future.

The Real Housewives of Orange County airs on Thursdays at 8/7c on Bravo. It streams on Peacock the next day.
